To achieve best results we recommend the following:
- HTV is expensive do a test cut before the full cut to ensure that you have the right pressure for the material you are using. It is very easy to waste a lot of product getting it right
- Ensure that you have completely weeded your item
- Preheat your item – t’shirt etc
- Make sure you use a Teflon sheet or baking paper between your item and the heat press or easy press.
- Ensure your heat press or easy press is at the correct temperature
- Ensure you are applying even and firm pressure during transfer
- Most of our HTV is cold peel so be patient and wait for it to cool
- There are occasions where you will need to repress the vinyl if it hasn’t effectively transferred. We recommend adding more pressure if the first transfer isn’t successful
- Do not wash the product for a minimum 24 hours after transfer
When using HTV for the first time it can be confusing how it should look on the fabric.
You should be able to see the contours of the fabric adhered in the HTV, this can be clearly seen in the below.
